Alec Jeffreys: The DNA Fingerprinting case

The Ghana Immigration case, Alec Jeffreys. In this clip, Jeffreys talks about the 1985 case of Sarbah vs. Home Office, also known as the Ghana Immigration Case. The first practical test of DNA fingerprinting involved a two year struggle by Christiana Sarbah and her son, Andrew, to prove to the Home Office in England that they were, indeed, mother and son.
