David Cox

Formerly a professor of genetics and pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine, David Cox was also the co-director of the Stanford Genome center. Cox co-founded and was the chief scientific officer of Perlegen in 2000; in 2001 he was elected to the Institute of Medicine at the National Academy of Sciences. In 2008 he left for a position as chief scientific officer at Pfizer’s Target Generation Unit.
