The code carrier

Working at the British Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, South African Sydney Brenner confirms messenger RNA hypothesis that he had formulated three years earlier with Francois Jacob of the Institut Pasteur and Matthew Meselson of Caltech.  Messenger RNA is the molecule that carries genetic information from chromosomes in the cell nucleus (in nucleated eukaryotic cells) to ribosomes where protein synthesis takes place.
